We say aligned rather than compliant deliberately: full GDPR compliance carries obligations built for organisations with an EU establishment, such as appointing a Data Protection Officer and maintaining Article 30 records of processing, and we do not hold those. Some of the service providers listed in section 5.1 — including Google Analytics and our website hosting provider — process data on servers located outside Canada, primarily in the United States. By using our website or submitting an inquiry, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in jurisdictions whose privacy laws differ from Canada's. We require all such providers to maintain safeguards substantially similar to PIPEDA standards, and we limit the data shared with them to what is necessary for the stated purpose.
If we are unable to service your inquiry — for example, because your location is outside our service area or falls outside our current capacity — we may refer your inquiry to vetted partner providers so that you can still receive service. Only the information needed to action the referral is shared, and it is shared solely for that purpose.
Some services we contract for are performed by specialist subcontractors working under our management — for example asphalt sealcoating and paving repair, NFPA 96 kitchen hood and duct interiors, floor coating installation, commercial junk removal and clear-out hauling, wash-water containment, and commercial fleet washing. This is different from a referral under section 5.5: your agreement remains with Zusashi Maintenance, we remain accountable for the work, and the subcontractor performs it on our behalf.
To make that possible we share the information the subcontractor needs to attend and complete the job — typically the site address, the site contact name and phone number, access and scheduling details, and the agreed scope. We do not share information that is not needed for the work, and subcontractors are engaged on the basis that they use it only to perform that job and not for their own marketing. If you would prefer we tell you which subcontractor is attending before a visit is scheduled, ask and we will.
