A chiropractic cleaning log records the adjusting tables, the face pieces, the drop mechanisms and the shared rehab equipment — high-turnover surfaces in a clinic that may see forty patients before lunch. Generate a free printable chiropractic clinic cleaning log in 30 seconds: add your clinic name and area, then print it or save as a PDF.

Volume is what makes a chiropractic clinic different. The same table surface can take thirty faces in a morning.
A patient lies face-down with nose, mouth and cheeks against the head piece, breathing into it. In a high-volume practice that surface is used every few minutes. Tissue in the opening is a courtesy, not a barrier — the vinyl underneath still needs disinfecting at the interval your protocol sets.
When patients are booked every ten minutes there is no realistic gap for a full wet contact time between each one. That is a protocol design problem, not a staff problem, and it needs resolving deliberately — barrier covers, a rotation between tables, or a longer gap. The log makes the gap visible instead of hidden.
Cocking levers, drop mechanisms, tension knobs and table height controls are touched by the practitioner between every patient, straight after hands-on contact with the last one. They are rarely on anyone's cleaning list and they sit right in the transmission path.
Wobble boards, exercise balls, bands, mats and traction harnesses get used by patient after patient and are not attached to a treatment room, so responsibility for them falls between clinical staff and cleaners. Give them their own line in the log and the ambiguity disappears.

For each clean: the date and time, the table or area, the task, who did it, the product and its Health Canada DIN, the contact time observed, and initials. Logging per table rather than per clinic is what makes the record useful — in a multi-table practice, "the clinic was cleaned" tells you nothing about the table a particular patient used.
Most practices disinfect the face piece and any direct skin-contact surface between every patient, and do a full table clean including drop mechanisms, levers and the base at set points through the day and at close. Where booking intervals are too short for a full wet contact time between patients, practices generally either rotate between tables, use a barrier that is changed each time, or lengthen the gap. Whichever your clinic chooses, write it down as a protocol and log against it.
Not as a facility inspection. The College's quality assurance work runs through its Peer and Practice Assessment programme — currently PPA 1.0 alongside a revised PPA 2.0 — in which a trained peer assessor reviews a chiropractor's practice, together with continuing education, a professional portfolio and self-assessment. That is an assessment of the practitioner, not a cleaning inspection of the premises. Environmental cleaning is otherwise examined when a complaint is investigated, when a local public health unit acts under the Health Protection and Promotion Act, or through your own self-audit. All three look at whatever records already exist, which is the argument for keeping them. Confirm your obligations with the CCO directly.
Use a Health Canada DIN-registered disinfectant at the dilution and wet contact time on its label, and check it against the table manufacturer's guidance first. Chiropractic tables take heavy mechanical use and repeated disinfection, and some products — particularly higher-alcohol formulations and certain quaternary blends — dry, crack or discolour vinyl over time. A cracked table surface cannot be cleaned properly at all, so product compatibility is a hygiene decision as much as a maintenance one.
Partly, and the split should be written down. Between-patient turnover happens inside the appointment gap and stays with clinical staff. A contractor takes the rest: floors, washrooms, reception, the rehab bay, high-touch surfaces and the scheduled deep clean, each documented with product, DIN and contact time. Zusashi provides clinic cleaning across the GTA with a signed log after every visit.
