In storage, a clean unit is a rentable unit — so the useful record is not "corridors done", it is which units were turned over and when. Generate a free printable self storage cleaning log in 30 seconds: add your facility name and the area, then print it or save it as a PDF. Carries a unit-number column and a pest-observation line.
Takes 30 seconds. Print one per area or per turnover batch, initial as you go, and keep the completed sheets on file.

Storage is the one sector where a cleaning record doubles as an operations report, because the thing being recorded is the thing that gates revenue.
A unit that has not been cleaned cannot be shown or re-rented. Recording which unit numbers were turned over on which date gives a manager a real clearance rate rather than an impression — and across several sites it answers the only question that matters: is every site clearing its vacate list, or only some of them?
Cleaning removes harbourage; it does not treat pests, which is licensed work. The pest column exists so droppings, gnaw marks, webbing or a smell get reported with a unit or corridor number. A contractor who silently cleans up the evidence every week is hiding your pest problem from you.
A crew standing in an empty unit is the first person to see a holed partition, a failed latch, a leak stain or a door that no longer seals. A damage column turns that into a same-day written note instead of something the next tenant discovers.
An Ontario employer with a washroom is expected to keep washroom cleaning records under the OHSA amendments introduced by Bill 190, and a storage facility with a customer washroom is not an exception. Our free Bill 190 washroom log covers that piece specifically.
Want the turnovers cleared and the records handled for you? Our self storage cleaning service works turnovers from your vacate list, runs a corridor dust programme, and reports pests and damage in writing the same day. Single site or a whole portfolio. No lock-in.

Because in storage the cleaning record is also an occupancy record. A unit that has not been turned over cannot be shown, so a dated list of unit numbers cleaned is a clearance rate — how fast vacated stock is getting back into inventory. It is the single most useful number this sheet produces, and it is the one a flat "common areas cleaned" tick can never give you.
No. A rented unit is under the tenant’s own lock and holds their property. Only vacated units that your staff have released should be on the sheet — and by omission, the log is also a record that nobody opened anything else.
No. It records observations only — what the crew saw, and where. Baiting, spraying, monitoring stations and the reporting that goes with them are performed and documented by a licensed pest control operator under Ontario’s Pesticides Act, and that service report is a separate document. Keep both: one says what was seen, the other says what was done about it.
The date, the unit number, the task, who did it, whether the unit is ready to rent, any damage seen, any pest observation, and an initial. That is enough for a manager to run the site from the sheet, and enough for a regional manager to compare sites without visiting them.
No — there is no regulator inspecting a storage facility’s cleaning, and any vendor implying otherwise is inventing one. What governs it is your own brand standard and your occupancy numbers. The one written record that genuinely applies is the washroom one under the OHSA amendments introduced by Bill 190.
